How to increase your energy
Many people complain about their
lack of energy. But the funny thing is, most
people are taking in more than enough calories.
So there must be something wrong with their
food choices
The main problem is taking in
too many refined sugars. If you have a large
plate of pasta or a packet of biscuits at lunch,
inevitably you start to feel sleepy in the early
afternoon. This is because your blood sugar
drops suddenly after a huge hit of sugar. The
body defends itself due to the fact that high
blood sugar can cause many problems.
Therefore, eat protein at midday
with complex carbohydrates such as brown rice.
Try not to each too much as this will also cause
insulin to rise and blood sugar levels to drop.
Also, try to keep a 2-litre bottle
of water on your desk, or with you, and try
to get through it slowly throughout the day.
